#1 Ladycat Fans

Here are just a few shots of Joanna (#15) playing her game. She's the starting setter for the school's varsity team. This is what Matt and I do with most of our free time. The season's almost over though. There is one game left and it's Friday. The last home game, too. What fun that'll be. If they win on Friday, they should be in the playoffs. So, we'll be cheering them on to victory on Friday. What fun.

Speaking of victory....where was the 'Stros's victory last night? Ugh!!! You knew it was coming when Pujols stepped up to bat. Why didn't Lidge? Oh, well, the "fat lady hasn't sang, yet!" Go 'Stros! Rebecca is headed back to Louisiana this Friday with another group from Harding to help with Katrina relief. Rachal is planning on coming home for the weekend. Is she missing her mom? ha! Y'all have a good week.

A little of this and little of that............

Hey...it's about time I came back and posted. Thanks Kris for the reminder. :-) It seems as if I am either busy, busy or just sitting here on the couch with the remote and laptop! Lots of inner feeling snd emotions, but just gonna keep those to myself.

We drove to Searcy, AR to take Rachal her graduation gift on Oct. 1. It was a last minute decision after we received the funds.....we just drove to Dallas and then on to Searcy. I called Rachal after crossing into Arknasas and told her we'd be there for supper. It was a nice trip, even I do stink at Taboo! I couldn't even think of the word "strait jacket"....all I could say was "strap jacket!" Seems like my brain needs more and more sleep.

Anyway, it was a good trip, even if we missed seeing Rebecca. She'd traveled to visit a friend. We'll be headed back to Searcy for Homecoming at HU on October 28. We'll drive up on Friday and return home on Sunday. It'll be nice to see both girls.

We are approaching the end of volleyball season. Only three more regular season games left. That'll be good. If things go right, the girls will make the playoffs and I'm not sure when those games will be. We absolutely love being a fan, but it has been a long season.

The weather has turned cooler, but it's warmer today than it was last week. We've had the windows open all week and it's nice to feel the cool air at night. I have lots of fall decorations, but they are still in the garage.....I haven't wanted to get them out.

One of the fun things in my life is my "video news" class. I have 15 students who cover the silly, the mundane, the ordinary, and the special events at our school. They write the stories, think of ways to video and we put all our "segments" together for a weekly news show. The kids love it, our school loves it and so do I. I could do this full-time! Anyway, I used my techno-savvy brain to figure out a way to upload the video file to the internet (DAWG TV) and now parents (and others) can watch the news show from their home computers. How cool! I feel really smart when things like that work out.

I am off to go back to my school....(Chapel Hill Middle School)....it's homecoming week and the junior high has it's own homecoming ceremonies.....I'll be going to video those ceremonies and enjoy the kids fun.

Guess that's enough for now. Joanna is trying to fix a rip in some jeans with some fusing...she didn't pull the paper off the one side....now, she's trying to fix her repair! :-) Y'all enjoy your weekend. Pattie
